A simple and convenient visible-light-promoted radical cascade difluoromethylation/cyclization reaction to access various difluoromethylated pyrrolo[1,2-a]indolediones was developed using difluoromethyltriphenylphosphonium bromide salt as a difluoromethylated reagent under mild conditions.
